BCCI invites Pak team for 3-match ODI series in December
The BCCI has given the nod for resuming cricket ties between India and Pakistan.
The Cricket Board has invited Pakistan team for a three-match ODI series in India in December. It may be noted the cricket ties between the two countries were cut-off after the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai.
However, the two countries have played against each other in the 2011 World Cup and Asia Cup held recently. But the bilateral series were suspended for the last five years.
Both have played the last bilateral series in India in 2007. India was forced to pull out of the 2009 tour of Pakistan in the wake of the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai.
India were schedule to play three Tests, five one-day games and a Twenty20 international in Pakistan in 2009 when the tour was called off after the Mumbai attacks.
