Exploring oneself
Work hard and party harder is my motto in life. If I could, I would go on a never-ending holiday. But I can’t afford to do that. So I try to balance professional commitments with holidays. For starters, I try to explore the place where I am shooting. Travelling is all about exploring not only new destinations, but exploring oneself too.
I am an avid traveller and have been to many places all over the world, but one of my favourite destinations in India is Goa. I recently came back from there. I hired a Bullet bike and visited every nook and cranny of the state. It’s an amazing ride from the north to Panaji to south Goa. I believe monsoon is one of the best times to visit Goa. The ocean may be rough, but the greenery is worth it.
In India, Himachal is my second favourite destination. Its tranquil beauty is worth more than one visit. I have been to many places in Himachal. From Shimla, Kasauli, Solan, Chamba, Dharamsala to McLeod Ganj — each of these places warrants a visit.
While on holiday I like to relax, read a book or listen to music, and to do all these relaxing things against the scenery of Himachal makes every moment memorable. I also love the food there.
When I am in the mood to party, I head to New York. It’s the best place to party and chill out with friends. It’s lively, energetic and welcoming. I have been there on many occasions and would love to go again and again. That’s the most interesting thing about New York. There is so much to do and so many new things to try out that one never feels bored or tired of it.
