Time to Go-aaaah!

Sun, sand and a getaway from the pandemonium of city life. If you want to experience this, then Goa is THE destination to go to with your friends, at least once during college life. Some go along with their entire class and some go with their gang of friends, but ultimately it’s the destination that matters. Students, especially those in the final year, are planning trips to Goa with their college pals in order to guarantee themselves unforgettable memoirs.

Vibhu Raghunath, final year BCA student, Presidency College and 160 of his batch mates went to Goa recently. They visited Calangute, Colva and Baga beaches. “We stayed five minutes away from Colva beach. My favourite was the Calangute beach which had shacks and a good crowd,” says Vibhu, who gorged on delectable sea fare in Goa.
The students also went on a cruise where they witnessed traditional Goan dances. “They also had a dance floor in the basement where we danced for an hour. The cruise is a must-visit for any tourist,” says Vibhu. While he did have fun, he says that they couldn’t do a lot of things there as it was an organised trip. “It’s a must to go to Goa with your own gang. Our group is planning to again. We will visit all the beaches, party all night, rent two-wheelers and cars in Goa and have a total blast,” he adds.
Student of RVCE Shweta N. and her classmates too headed to Goa last week. The gang of 29, spent three days and two nights there. “We stayed at Baga beach. On the first day, we saw the beautiful sunset and later partied at Mambos,” she says. On the second day, they went to the Bom Basilica, Fort Aguada and on a ferry ride. “While on the ferry, we saw Panjim city on the right and north Goa on the left — it was awesome. After that, we spent the whole night on the beach,” shares Shweta.
The next day, they headed to Anjuna and Vegatur beaches and later to Calangute where they enjoyed water sports.
Her classmate Shruthi Raj, who also went on the trip says, “Goa is a college student’s paradise because it’s all about sun, sand, beaches, drinks and you can wear what you want there!”
There are also others who are busy making plans to go there. Says Neha M., a BBM student, “It’s our final year and what better place to visit than Goa.”
So if you’re planning a trip with buddies, then pack your bags and head to the land that transports you to another world altogether. Go-ahh!
PS: Remember — stay safe!
