Kerala’s second seed Sunilduth Lyna Narayanan beat 16th seed Akash P.C. lyer of Tamil Nadu. International Master Prasanna Raghuram Rao, third seed from Maharashtra, is fifth with seven points after beating 34th seed Rakesh Kumar Nayak of Orissa.
In the girls’ section, seventh seed Fide Master Mahalakshmi M. of Tamil Nadu got the better of statemate 15th seed Varshini V. to be placed in second position with eight points.
Maharashtra’s second seed FM Pujari Rucha sent third seed Saranya J. of Tamil Nadu packing, while fifth seed Michelle Catherina P. of Tamil Nadu edged past statemate fourth seed Nandhidhaa P.V..
