TN keeps fingers crossed on NE monsoon revival
Tamil Nadu is reported to have received only 10 per cent excess rain so far this monsoon, with a number of districts reeling with deficit rainfall.
Dr Y.E.A. Raj, deputy director general of meteorology at Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai, said since Cyclone Nilam brought intense showers on its visit to the state, Tamil Nadu has faced a dry spell of two weeks.
He, however, said the cold spell was temporary and there would be more showers in December.
Astro meteorologist S. Ramachandran agreed with him and forecasts rains from November 21.
