Heat to take backseat next few days
The next few days have relief in store for Chennaiites reeling from scorching heat and extended power cuts.
The weatherman says the city will experience a cloudy climate from Wednesday with the temperature falling to 32 degrees Celsius before it gradually picks up.
“There is an easterly flow and we can expect less heat next two to three days,” said Y.E.A. Raj, deputy director general of meteorology at the regional meteorological centre.
The city has so far seen a maximum temperature of 37 degrees this summer.
