Father seeks hc help to get back kidnapped boy

A father has approached the Madras high court seeking a direction to police to produce his 17 year-old son, a Plus I student of a private school who was allegedly kidnapped by a woman teacher, before the court and hand over custody to him.

According to the petitioner, on March 4 his son went to school to attend practical classes but did not return.

He then learnt that the science teacher had kidnapped his son and lodged a complaint with the police.

The petitioner alleged that he had given the name of the person he suspected to have kidnapped his son but no action was taken.

A division bench, before whom the habeas corpus petition filed by Saravan Kumar came up for hearing, ordered notice to the commissioner of police and inspector of police, Elephant Gate police station.
