2-yr-old takes night walk as parents sleep

A 2-year-old girl took off from her GKM Colony house in MKB Nagar on Sunday night while her parents slept keeping the front door open and walked nearly two km before being spotted by an alert police patrol team.

The police team, not being able to locate the girl’s parents, took her to a shelter run by an NGO.

Though the girl’s father Raghu, a mason, and her mother started looking for the girl, Kavya, as soon they woke up, they had not lodged a complaint with the police.

The police on the other hand used a public address system in a jeep to look for the girl’s
parents.

Raghu and family when came to know that Kavya was in police protection, rushed to the Peravallur station.

The parents claimed that they had kept the door open for fresh air to come in during night. Police took them to the shelter home where the girl had a happy reunion with her family around 10.30 am on Monday.
