The parents of a year-old girl, found abandoned on Shitla ghat in Varanasi after December 7 blast, has been sent to 14 days judicial custody by a court here. The child Gauri will remain with her mother Gita during this period, while 11-year-old Riya will stay with her uncle, the police said on Wednesday.

A 60-year-old woman, who was critically injured in the blast here on Tuesday succumbed to injuries on Saturday, taking the toll in the incident to two.

A father-son duo were picked up for questioning here in connection with the email sent by banned terror group Indian Mujahideen to several media houses claiming responsibility for the Varanasi blast.
