‘Don’t hold talks with Ramdev’
Union minister Beni Prasad Verma on Saturday hit out at Baba Ramdev for playing politics, saying the government’s negotiators should not hold talks with him.
Saying that Baba Ramdev’s hungerstrike is “sponsored by the BJP”, he said: “There is no need to talk to Baba Ramdev who has been backed by the BJP in his hungerstrike.”
‘Deal’ letter puts Baba on backfoot
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday went on the backfoot as the government released a handwritten letter signed by his close aide Acharya Balkrishna in which it is claimed that an agreement has been reached and the agitation would be limited only to “tap” (meditation) for three days beginning June 4.
