Bodo council files complaint against Assam
In what may snowball into a major controversy, the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), constituted under Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution has lodged a complaint to the Planning Commission against the Assam government on the issue of allocation of funds to the council.
HC rejects plea for interim order
In an apparent setback to the Tata Motors, the Calcutta high court on Monday rejected its plea for an interim order restraining the state government from starting the process of returning land to the unwilling farmers of Singur.
