The CBI continued their interrogation of former Gujarat minister of state for home Amit Shah at the Sabarmati Central Jail for the second consecutive day here on Thursday. The proceedings are being video graphed as per the court directive.

In a shocking development that will tighten the noose over the Gujarat police, further exposing its obsession with encounters, it has emerged that Ishrat Jahan was kept in the same farmhouse where Sohrabuddin’s wife Kauser Bi was kept, assaulted and killed. The police officer who planned and executed both encounters was alleged “supercop” D.G. Vanzara, now in prison.

It was revealed that Sohrabuddin was labelled a LeT operative on a mission to kill Gujarat chief Minister Narendra Modi. Ishrat Jahan and her three friends Javed Ghulam Sheikh, alias Pranesh Kumar Pillai, Amjad Ali Akbar Ali Rana, alias Rajkumar and Jisan Johar Abdul Gani, alias Janbaaz, were also dubbed dreaded terrorists on a mission to kill chief minister Modi.
CBI to question Shah in prison
In a day of legal developments, Gujarat’s former minister of state for home Amit Shah on Monday moved the special CBI court for bail, while the CBI sought and obtained permission to interrogate Mr Shah in Sabarmati Central Jail on July 28, 29 and 30 from 9 am to 5 pm. Mr Shah, meanwhile, sought and secured permission for his entire interrogation to be recorded on audio and videotape.
Shah’s confidant changes heart, to turn approver
In a major breakthrough that can tighten the noose over Amit Shah and diminish his chances of obtaining bail, the arrested minister’s close confidant N.K. Amin filed an application in a CBI court emphasising that he wants to be an approver in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case.
