Decks have been cleared for the re-entry of Mr K. Muraleedharan, son of the former chief minister, Mr K. Karunakaran to the Congress.
A former KPCC president, Mr Muraleedharan had been expelled from the party in 2005 after he formed the Democratic Indira Congress along with his father. Though Mr Karunakaran returned to the Congress, his son was left in the political wilderness with Kerala leaders opposing his re-entry.

ITC Q4 net rises 27% at Rs 1,028 cr
The ITC Limited on Friday reported a 27.1 per cent jump in its post-tax profit for the fourth quarter of 2009-10 at Rs 1028.22 crores, while the post-tax profit for the last fiscal stood at Rs 4,061 crores, registering a growth of 24.4 per cent.
