Sofuoglu clinches Imoha round

Mahi Racing Team India rider Kenan Sofuoglu delivered a strong performance en route to victory in the shortened seventh leg of the World Supersport Championship in Imoha, Italy, on Sunday. Sofuoglu, who secured a second place on the grid in the qualifying round on Saturday, took the lead from the then-leader Sam Lowes on the first turn itself and kept him at bay till the chequered flag was waved, winning by three seconds.
Even an oil spill on the track could not stop defending champion Sofuoglu from taking the top honours as stewards stopped the race after incidents of slipping with 14th laps remaining.
