Will Arjun do anything heroic?
When Arjun Rampal went ahead and signed Heroine, he left many questioning his move Because not only is Heroine a woman-centric film, it’s also being helmed by Madhur Bhandarkar who has proved himself a champion in handling such subjects.
So while Arjun’s character in the film is being said to be the male lead protagonist, many are wondering if he will indeed have something substantial to offer. However, a close associate of Arjun assures that all is well. “Arjun has signed the film in good faith as Madhur has promised him that he has a pivotal part in the story. Arjun has gone through the script and has no doubts about his contribution in the film.”
Also, this isn’t the first time the actor will share the screen in a women-centric film. His last release We Are Family saw him alongside powerhouse performers like Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.
And director Madhur seems to know what he’s doing. “Arjun has been roped in after much consideration as he caries the persona and maturity that the role demands. Yes, Heroine is centred around a female protagonist, but that doesn’t mean that Arjun’s character is peripheral,” says the director.
