Vaani’s Rockstar ambitions

Her debut film, Shuddh Desi Romance, hasn’t even released yet, but YRF find Vaani Kapoor already seems to be on the fast track to stardom. Her next film is a South remake of Band Baaja Baraat, but ask her about the one film role she’d love to portray and pat comes the answer: “Rockstar”.
However, Vaani clearly has sky-high cinematic aspirations as she tells us, “Ranbir’s (Kapoor) role in Rockstar, not Nargis’. Nargis didn’t have much to do in the film. I want to be Bollywood’s rockstar!” This debutante certainly doesn’t believe in mincing her words!
There’s another role too that Vaani would like to play, she informs us — that of Aishwarya Rai’s in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. “I would love to play a character like that, but I don’t think such pure love exists anymore in real life,” she admits with disarming frankness.
