SRK’s under pressure

We’ve been seeing Shah Rukh Khan all over town as he promotes Ra.One in a hectic rush. But the absence of Kareena Kapoor, and especially Arjun Rampal from all the events has caused a lot of tongue wagging among industrywallahs. Has SRK deliberately been keeping Arjun away from the spotlight?
“Arjun is a dear friend,” says SRK, rubbishing the allegation that he axed Arjun out of the promos because of insecurity. “Right now, I’m publicising the film in my capacity as a producer. Whenever required, Kareena and Arjun have been there — like at the music launch.”
SRK says it is Bebo and Arjun’s other commitments that have prevented them from participating in publicising Ra.One as much as they wanted to: “Kareena is in Rome right now, and Arjun is very busy dubbing for Ra.One.”
Whatever the reason may be for the non involvement of the film’s other actors, the fact is that SRK seems to be stretched thin, as he runs from one event to another to promote his magnum opus. The stress is showing. “I don’t remember the last time I slept for seven hours at a stretch,” says SRK with a wry laugh.
