Sonam on a new diet plan
Sonam Kapoor’s obsession with fitness is understandable, considering her success in weight-shedding (about 35 kilos in one year) has attracted as much if not more talk than her films, from Saawariya (2007) to Aisha (2010). The beauty carried excess baggage earlier (she was 90 kilos), gained chiefly during her two-year stay in Singapore before her foray into films. But since then, Sonam has been lauded for the strict diet, dance, and exercise regime she followed to get herself the right figure. The tour de force was accomplished with the help of a battery of fitness professionals.
Now the zesty belle has gone ahead and jammed with a new trainer, Nadir Ali. A trifle puzzling. But probably with three of her films Thank You, Mausam and Players in different stages of filming, Sonam is feeling the need to rev up her already sculpted looks.
Nadir Ali, who has been training Shahid Kapur for Mausam and Priyanka Chopra for Saat Khoon Maaf is not complaining about Sonam’s passion for new trainers and fitness styles. Nadir, of course, lapped up the offer. He is now working out a balanced diet for her. “She loves food, but she eats in small quantities,” reveals Nadir. “At the moment, my aim is to keep her energetic through her shoots,” he adds.
