Something’s up Akki’s sleeve

Looks like there’s a lot more to Akshay Kumar’s Speedy Singh (titled Breakaway in English) than meets the eye. As the actor is gearing up to bring his international collaboration to the screens, here’s one piece of news that’s just leaked out. Apparently, Akshay’s music video with Grammy Award winning rapper Ludacris isn’t his only contribution to the film. Incidentally, Akshay also makes an appearance in the film at a very crucial juncture.
Our source says, “The makers had refrained from making this news public because they didn’t want to the focus to shift from its lead actor, debutant Vinay Virmani.” This happens to be an interesting turn in Akshay’s career as he has always steered clear of cameos — the only exceptions being Chalo Dilli and Om Shanti Om. At the beginning, however, there were no talks of cameo, but as the film gathered steam, Akshay decided to do a scene in addition to the music video. When contacted, Vinay confirmed the news saying, “Yes, Akshay has a very special role to play in the film. He is like a brother to me and I will never forget this favour.”
Hmmm...somebody’s trying to gain some good karma!
