Shahid goes commando
Shahid Kapur is working very hard for his father’s film Mausam. Make that, working out. Shahid plays a fighter pilot in the film and since his role required him to be fit, the actor flew in his trainer Abbas Ali to Scotland, where he is currently shooting.
We hear that Abbas is in the process of setting up a gym for Shahid so that he does not have to worry about looking for a suitable one while he is shooting. But a different training schedule has been worked out for him as compared to the one he underwent for Kaminey.
A fitness freak, Shahid has always worked out regularly. “But this time, his training is a little different,” says Abbas. “We will be giving him commando training, or what we call combat training. In Kaminey, he needed to look beefy, but for this film he needs to be fit. He needs to look like a fighter pilot. So we will be working on movements taken from the NDA and the way mariners are trained, for three to four weeks,” says Abbas.
“This time we are concentrating more on outdoor training. So there will be lots of running in store for Shahid. We have hired a local trainer to work on him right now,” Abbas adds.
Abbas has been working with Shahid for over five years. He says, “Shahid is a vegetarian and his diet was modified for the look. We have increased his carbs now,” says Abbas.
