Shahid avoids comparisons

If Kareena Kapoor is shining as the film industry’s Heroine, but her former beau Shahid Kapoor isn’t far behind. Word has it that Shahid’s upcoming film with director Raj Kumar Santoshi was titled Heropanti. This is the same film that was originally penned for Abhishek Bachchan who had to opt out of it citing date problems.

While Shahid was excited about working with Santoshi, it was the title of the film that made him feel a tad awkward.
The actor didn’t want people to draw comparisons between the titles of Heroine and Heropanti. “Shahid is not one interfere with people’s creative decisions, but this time around, he was hoping that Santoshi would alter the title a bit. It was a little too ‘in your face’,” says a source close to the actor.
But luckily for Shahid who is yet to start shooting for the film, it will be called Phata Poster Nikla Hero.
We’re hoping this ensures that the comparisons will be at bay.
