Sanju to play AB’s role in remake

Given that remakes are the flavour of the season, with Agneepath on the cards and maybe even Yaadon Ki Baarat, Soham Shah is all set to remake Satte pe Satta. Sanjay Dutt will be playing the lead role that was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. The cast for the six brothers and the leading lady are yet to be finalised.
Our source said, “Soham has almost zeroed in on the remaining six brothers. Now that Sanjay Dutt has given the go ahead, it is only a matter of time before the other actors are chosen. If all goes well, the six actors who will play the six brothers are Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Ashish Chowdhury, Arya Babbar, Kunal Khemu and Ravi Kishen. Soham is still pondering over the casting on the leading ladies front. While Bipasha Basu is being considered for Ranjeeta’s character, the other leading lady played by Hema Malini is yet to be finalised.”
The film will be produced by Shree Astavinayak Cine Vision and Sanjay Dutt Productions. It is scheduled to go on floors soon.
