Sanjay wants to say ‘action’ again
Sanjay Gupta, who was once caught in a frenzy of making back-to-back films, is keeping a low profile these days. Last time he burnt his fingers with successive commercial failures like Pankh, Acid Factory and Woodstock Villa.
He is also being extra cautious about launching new directors. In fact he wants to direct instead of passing on the mantle to others. After Zinda, his production house went on an overdrive launching more films than they could handle.
But Sanjay wants to change his course now. “I haven’t called ‘action’ for half a decade now. Don’t you think it’s high time? Although if someone comes up with something really out of the world, I may consider changing my mind. Until then I want to concentrate on fending for myself,” he laughs.
We can only hope this time round his decision brings some good results.
