Sajid-Farah have a tiff on the sets
They might have a reputation of a typical brother-sister duo that agrees to disagree on everything, but for years Farah and Sajid Khan have worked in perfect tandem. However, the recent dance sequence of Sajid’s ambitious project Himmatwala has created quite a stir between the two. While Sajid wanted Farah to recreate Jeetendra’s Taki Taki steps for Ajay Devgn in the film, his choreographer sister didn’t seem to agree.
“Ajay has a certain style. Replicating the 70’s steps that Jeetuji had done would look outlandish,” said Farah who was adamant about her decision. It was Ajay who finally played the peacemaker. “Ajay suggested that they shoot 60 per cent of the song with the new moves and the remaining 40 percent will be a takeoff on the old version of the song,” says a unit member.
Most of the song has been shot and Farah is busy giving it the final touches. On the personal front, Sajid and Farah claim to be quarrelling all the time but professionally they have always been on the same page. This is the first time that the two have made their creative differences public.
