Saif distances from Cocktail

Looks like the buzz about his impending marriage to long-time girlfriend Kareena Kapoor is driving Saif Ali Khan up the wall. So much so, that he has decided to stay away from promoting his upcoming film Cocktail.

While his co-star is going all-out to promote the film, Saif’s absence is not going unnoticed. Considering, how important this film is to his career — both Aarakshan and Agent Vinod were big duds at the box office — Saif’s decision seems to have been prompted by desperate times. Apparently, the actor is apprehensive about the media asking him questions about his marriage and also about the public brawl he got into a few months ago. A source close to him says, “Saif has become very apprehensive about facing the media. Since he is not comfortable talking about his marriage he is keeping a low profile. I think we should respect his decision and let the man be.”
Buzz is Saif has cancelled a few more promotional tours in the country. “He had to be convinced to attend the premiere of the film in Delhi but besides that, he cancelled all other plans. He is confident his work will speak for him, the source adds.
That’s something we’ll know only after the film has released.
