Rowdy Rathore storms into top 5

Just when it looked like Akshay Kumar could never notch up a `100 crore blockbuster by himself, he’s suddenly got two, with Rowdy Rathore following Housefull 2. And what’s more, RR has even surpassed the likes of Ra.One, Agneepath and Ready, to enter the top-five Bollywood films of all times.
“Rowdy Rathore has now helped Akshay comfortably edge out Shah Rukh and Hrithik Roshan. In its third weekend, it has `120 crores, and the next hurdle it can hope to cross would be Dabangg and Bodyguard, which collected `140 crores each,” informs a trade pundit.
But though it’s doing well right now, the `140 crore milestone could be tough to notch up. “Akshay faces a tough challenge from Shahid Kapur’s Teri Meri Kahaani and the the Spiderman movie, which arrive in the next two weeks But even if it reaches around `135 crores, it would have done very well, especially considering the criticism Akki was facing this time last year,” an insider adds.
