Romance gets mature
In Dabangg, their playful romance began with the word “thappad” but in the sequel Sonakshi Sinha and Salman Khan’s characters have definitely come a long way.
A senior crewmember says, “In the first film, Salman was trying to woo Sonakshi. While the sequel has no such scope, the audience would still expect some mischief from Chulbul Pandey. So he gets romantic in his own way.”
The source adds, “Sona’s character Rajjo is far from a stereotypical housewife. There is enough spunk in her character.” In fact, recently, she shot for a romantic sequence with Salman. Speaking of his film, director Arbaaz Khan says, “Sona’s character has gone through a big transformation; she’s married after all. And their marriage is very romantic. Since Chulbul and Rajjo are in a new space enough scenarios have been created to establish their chemistry.”
There haven’t been too many instances in the past where a married leading lady had anything more than a semi-decent role. Let’s see if Sona manages to be the exception.
