Ranbir hits the big league

It is an undisputed fact that public holidays are the best time for a Bollywood release and are very aggressively booked by the industry’s big guns.

While the Khans along with Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan have almost permanently booked their slots for the holiday season, Ranbir’s Besharam release on Gandhi Jayanti comes as a breath of fresh air.
“With one quick stroke, Ranbir has announced his arrival in the big league. He is now very close to the top six and it is a matter of time before he elevates to the next level. The confidence shown by the industry to grant him such a cherished release date is a clear indication of that”, says a source.
“He has earned it”, says a close associate of the actor adding, “If an off beat film of his like Barfi! can release on a regular day and do a business of over `100 crores, it is fair that a commercial film like Besharam gets its due.”
