Rana’s two-timing ways
Rana Daggubati has got a lot of money riding on his back this week. So it’s hardly a surprise that the actor is going through some sleepless nights. On the one hand he is juggling his much-talked-about Bollywood debut Dum Maaro Dum, on the other he has a Telugu release titled Nenu Naa Rakshasi coming up the week after that.
A source close to Rana says, “He comes from a strong film lineage in the South (he’s the grandson of D. Ramanaidu and nephew of Nagarjuna) and therefore he can’t afford to disappoint his fans there. Equally important is DMD, which is his launch vehicle in Bollywood.”
But Rana, who is fast learning the tricks of the trade is actively promoting both his films. “I’m having a lot of fun, but it’s tough at times as I am required to be in two places all at once. Right now, I am touring the north to promote DMD and soon after its release I’ll go South for my Telugu film. These are nervous times for sure. But I don’t mind it one bit,” says the new entrant.
Well Rana, all we can say is welcome to the big bad world of Bollywood!
