Raju takes 3 Idiots to the United Nations

Months after its release, the 3 Idiots trajectory is still going strong. Recently, a special screening of the film was organised at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

A source said, “The department of management at the UN got in touch with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s office and requested a screening. They also wanted to conduct a post-film discussion on how the characters in the film influence the education system.”
When the UN sent out the invites, they expected only Indian expats. However, more than 700 people turned up for the screening. Since the venue for the screening could hold only 175 people, the screening had to be shifted to another venue. Still, only 600 people could be accommodated.
Hirani confirmed, “We were honoured to hold this special screening for the UN. Abhijat and I were present for the screening and the question and answer-session that followed.”
