Priyanka storms ahead with Race 2

The debacle of Priyanka Chopra’s 7 Khoon Maaf with her favourite director Vishal Bhardwaj, allegedly made the actress book the next flight to the US for a much needed break. Perhaps after having seen her in 12 avatars in What’s Your Rashee? the audiences were put off by another Priyanka excess on screen. And it seems she has learnt from her past mistakes.

After months of speculation, she, has been finally signed for the lead in Abbas-Mustan’s sequel to Race. Priyanka will be joining the team of Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha, Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor in Race 2, in which John Abraham has been signed to play the negative role the film. Sources say that the director duo Abbas-Mustan were looking for the third leading lady in the film and zeroed in on Priyanka. “She seemed the perfect choice and will most probably be playing the lead opposite John.”
Apart from Race 2, Priyanka also has Farhan Akhtar’s sequel to Don to look forward to, for which she will be shooting in Bangkok. As long as Priyanka knows that going solo on screen is the way ahead, she can rest assured that her films won’t flop.
