Priyanka to play Madhur’s Heroine?

There seems to be a lot of mystery surrounding Madhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming project, Heroine. First, there is the question of who will play the lead since Kareena does not clarify whether she is in or out of it. Then is the rumour that Bhandarkar even approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to do the role after Kareena ostensibly refused. Kareena apparently had asked Madhur to tone down the steamy scenes. But, when asked Kareena had said, “I have not got the complete script as yet so I cannot comment.”

Now, the latest rumours doing the rounds are that Priyanka Chopra has been approached for the role. But when contacted, Bhandarkar denied the reports. “I don’t know where the news has come from. I have been busy with my forthcoming project Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji and have just completed the film. The post production work is going on as I am releasing the film in January.”
He adds, “As for Heroine, I am busy working on the script of the film. I have not approached anyone as yet as I will start work on the film only in March and it is some months away. Priyanka is busy shooting in Berlin and I am busy with my film in Mumbai. So as of now it is just Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji for me. I am tired of the speculation doing the rounds and will make an announcement at the right time,” he added further.
