Preity’s not piggybacking
Unlike many others in the past who have piggybacked on even a minor appearance of a superstar in a film of theirs, Preity Zinta won’t be taking the beaten track for her maiden production Ishkq In Paris. Despite a special appearance by Salman Khan in her film, Preity is not going to use his star power to sell her film.
“I don’t even think it would be fair on our part to rope him for a promotional campaign,” says Prem Raj, the director. “Salman bhai has a song in the film and we are all thankful to him for stepping in. He is such a large hearted guy that even without me asking him, he has been talking about the film whenever he has felt like.”
Not many know though that other than sharing a friendly relationship with Preity for over a decade, Salman has been quite close to Prem as well. “Right now my relationship with him goes beyond work. He has been an integral part of my life. He has been there with me through thick and thin and has always supported and stood by me. What I share with him is much more than a work relationship. I don’t wish to dilute that by expecting him to come and promote our film as well. That would be unfair.”
