P.K. will release next Christmas

What Eid is to Salman, Christmas is to Aamir — this fact has been well established after the success of Taare Zameen Par and 3 Idiots. The perfectionist hasn’t even begun to shoot for his next film P.K. with Raju Hirani but he has already decided on a release date. In fact, the actor and director have gone ahead and locked December 25, 2013.

A lot of speculation is still on about the rest of the cast — for now, the only confirmed lead opposite Aamir is Anushka Sharma. “At the moment we can only confirm the release date,” his spokesperson said. A source said, “Aamir hasn’t had a release in over a year. Now that he has the required dates, the team is looking at a start-to-finish schedule.”
P.K. has a lot of firsts to its credit. It’s the first Raju Hirani film that will be shot abroad, in Hungary to be precise. And it will also be the first film under Raj Kumar Hirani Productions.
Too bad we have to wait till next Christmas!
