Perfectionist PC irks crew

Not too long ago, Priyanka Chopra’s position at the top of the B’town leading lady pile was uncontested. But with 7 Khoon Maaf proving to be a box office dud, PC is looking to make her way up again with Don 2 and Barfee.
But there seems to be a small hitch: PC’s own attitude. It seems she has become such a stickler for perfection that the team of Barfee is bearing the brunt as she asks for endless retakes, and spends hours rehearsing her dialogues.
An assistant director for the film reveals, “No doubt, Priyanka is very hardworking. But of late, she seems to have become obsessed with her performance. She asks us for several retakes, which doesn’t bode well for our schedule.”
While we wonder if it’s insecurity that’s driving PC, her friends have another explanation. “This is her next big film after 7 Khoon Maaf, and Priyanka wants to turn in a flawless performance,” says a friend.
Others point out that Aamir “Mr Perfectionist” Khan has been doing the same for years, but no one seems to have an issue with that. “So why is PC drawing this unwarranted flak?” questions an aide.
