Not Game for stunt double
Junior B seems to have a newfound fetish for action. The actor, who is juggling as many as four action flicks these days, can’t get enough of the kicks and punches. After a gritty schedule for Dum Maaro Dum in Goa, Abhishek didn’t get much rest before he had to fly to Istanbul for Game, where he had to train under a Hollywood fitness trainer to perfect a lean look for the film.
A source from the production unit says, “A particular action sequence in the film required him to run for a very long distance and Abhishek, in spite of being offered a stunt double, insisted on doing the scene himself. He even underwent special training from a local marathon champion to prepare himself well and avoid injury.”
The actor says that he thoroughly enjoyed going the extra mile for his role.
“It’s my first film with Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani. I was waiting for long to work with them and we have shot at fantastic locations. I enjoyed Game more because it’s a whodunit, which is my favourite genre,” says Abhishek.
Quiz him about this sudden action overdose, and he says, “I didn’t plan on taking up these roles, they just happened to me. But yes, it’s an exciting phase in my career and I’m trying to give my best to each role.”
