No films with YRF make SRK insecure
Whether it’s self-deprecating wit or his mischievious way of saying things for effect, Shah Rukh Khan, somehow, always managed to hit the headlines when he makes a statement. And so it was that when the King Khan recently said he feels insecure if YRF doesn’t approach him for a film every few years, all ears perked up.
“If I don’t get a call from Yashji every five years, to feature in a film he’s directing, then I start doubting my capabilities,” says SRK with disarming honesty. In fact, so much does the King Khan trust the legendary filmmaker that he doesn’t even bother discussing the script, money or dates when they work together.
SRK’s fans are hoping that the faith the superstar has in YRF will be repaid when their next venture, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, hits the theatres. The King Khan says he isn’t too concerned about the film making it to the 100-crore club, and is more preoccupied with how the audience will react to his first onscreen pairing with Katrina Kaif.
SRK also divulged that the competition in the industry keeps him on his toes. “You can’t escape failure,” says SRK. “But I’ve learnt to deal with it in a pragmatic manner.”
