The new perfectionist
Emraan Hashmi may have had a bunch of back-to-back box office successes but he is clearly not the one to rest on his laurels. The actor is extra cautious that he gets his act right for each film he works on.
Emraan, who is shooting for Rush, plays a crime reporter in the film. To perfect the nuances of his character, he spent a month in the newsroom of a channel and even went out on field with the reporters. “The idea was to learn their body language and their style of talking in front of the camera,” says a source close to the actor. He even got his hair and makeup artists to watch news channels and nail the look of his character.
“He would rehearse the script, emphasising on particular words, exactly the way news anchors do. He went to the extent of reading up books on journalism besides taking inspiration for top notch crime reporters,” says Emraan’s spokesperson.
His last release Raaz 3 has comfortably crossed the `100-crore mark at the box office. With so much thirst for perfection, could we imagine any less?
