Mahakshay will share frame with Mithun
Mahakshay Chakravarty, who made an impressive comeback in Vikram Bhatt’s horror flick Haunted, will be donning the uniform of a cop in his next. The actor will be following in the footsteps of Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar who have played cops on screen. The film is titled Enemmy and it will see Mahakshay share screen space with his father Mithun Chakravarty for the first time.
The film is being directed by Ashu Trikha and is poised for a June release. He says, “It’s a cop drama and Mahakshay is one of the principal protagonists besides Mithunda. The script is powerful and allows Mahakshay to do something very different from what he has done in the past.” After Haunted, Mahakshay was flooded with horror film offers. “But he wanted to break the mould and not get slotted,” says a source. Another father-son jodi that is all set to appear on screen is that of the much-awaited Rishi and Ranbir Kapoor in Besharam. However, Mithun and Mahakshay will beat them to it. Other actors in Enemmy comprise Suniel Shetty, K.K. Menon and Mahesh Manjrekar.
