Kareena Kapoor is enjoying one of the best phases of her career. With three big budget films like We Are Family, beau Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod and Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra One in her kitty, she has a huge edge over competition. Love, according to Kareena, is the secret of her success. “I guess I am lucky and blessed. I get a lot of love from my family, friends and Saif.”

Unlike many actresses who are reluctant to discuss their significant others, Bebo gushes about what a great support boyfriend Saif is to her. “Saif is very unique in his thinking. He is supportive of a working woman since his mother is one. He has never stopped me from doing any role. The best part of the shooting for Agent Vinod was I could spend time with him. I enjoy every bit of my life and time with him.”
No wonder Bebo is content. “What more can I expect in life? I am looking good, the audience is crazy about me and I am surrounded by great people,” explains Kareena.
Time constraints are the only things she complains about, otherwise even her recent weight gain doesn’t seem to bother her. “Yes, my weight has been a big issue. I am not size zero anymore and don’t want to change how I am looking. Especially not for any role because my fans love to see me rounded. I am definitely not going to be thinner than this,” says Kareena.
She needn’t bother as she is looking gorgeous in her upcoming film We Are Family where she is playing the role made famous by Julia Roberts in the Hollywood film Stepmom. Apart from the challenging role, the prospect of acting with Kajol again after K3G made WRF an exciting project. “I worked with Kajol in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, but we didn’t have too many scenes together. In this film we are both on the same page, living under the same roof.”
Kajol doesn’t make Kareena feel insecure as Bebo isn’t annoyed that Kajol was given special treatment on sets. “Kajol has this aura around her and she loves to be in her own space. When we were together we discussed movies and life. She has always been pampered and was pampered even more this time round as she is pregnant.”
Bebo even hit it off with the film’s male lead Arjun Rampal. “Arjun is a great foodie. After shoots we would go out for dinner since both of us love Italian food. When we were shooting in Sydney we went out a lot. Saif also joined us as he and Arjun know each other from their Delhi days. Kajol would also come.”
In WRF, Kareena’s character has to work hard to establish a rapport with her step kids. In real life how easy was it to bond with sis Karishma’s family? “I love spending time with near and dear ones. I love Karishma’s two kids. They are my children. Her son Kiaan is already a lady killer.”
What about brother-in-law Sanjay Kapur? “I have known him since I was a kid. Karishma and he were school mates. He treats me like a kid sister. I talk to him as a friend.”
Kareena is increasingly becoming easy to get along with, so why is there talk that Madhur Bhandarkar is upset with her as she isn’t giving him dates for his film Heroine? “I wanted to do the film, but the script is not ready. I also have a busy year ahead. There’s Golmaal 3 which is a comedy and a Diwali release. My role is special as I play a tomboy. I am like a boy with a pretty face. This is followed by Ra One, Agent Vinod and Karan’s film Short Term Shaadi with Imran Khan which will begin next year.”
