Let’s not put a price on this one
Despite the popularity and success earned over two decades of acting, Prakash Raj remains a humble man. The actor who plays a strict yet affable teacher in the upcoming film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was so elated about the offer, that he did not charge director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra any money for the role. In fact, he offered to pay the man himself.
“He walked into my office and told me that he loves the script, and would want to be part of the film. Then he asked me how much he’d have to pay me for the role! It just goes on to show how modest he is. It’s not common for a man of his stature to make a gesture like that,” says Rakeysh adding that despite multiple efforts of giving him a cheque, the actor just didn’t budge.
After playing negative roles in Dabangg and Singham, Prakash will be seen essaying a positive role for the first time in Hindi films.
