Lata showers praise on Bebo
Kareena Kapoor is not alien to compliments. But when words of praise come from the legendary Lata Mangeshkar, they take different proportions altogether. That’s the reason why Bebo cannot stop gushing after the veteran singer called her to compliment her on her performance in Talaash.
“Lataji has known Kareena and her family for years. Her grandfather Raj Kapoor and she were good friends and worked on many films together. In fact, Lataji remembers Bebo as a chubby, good-looking kid,” says a member of Kareena’s team, adding that it’s not too often that Lata calls up an actor to express her appreciation. “Kareena was shooting in Bhopal when she got a call Lataji. She was ecstatic,” says a close associate of the actress, adding, “Lataji also told her that she is one of the finest actresses that the Hindi film industry has ever had and that she reminds her of the yesteryear beauties.”
Kareena, who is currently in Bhopal shooting for Satyagraha, intends to personally meet Lata and thank her for the lovely words of appreciation. Such compliments certainly call for a celebration.
