Kalki’s feline obsession
Shaitan director Bejoy Nambiar of the was very strict since the beginning about whom to cast in the film. But even the difficult director had to add a new character to the film, thanks to Kalki Koechlin, who became very fond of a cat, and would always cling to her no matter what, says a source from the sets of the film.
“Kalki was so much in love with the cat that she would carry her around everywhere. She would feed and wash her in her spare time,” the source said, adding, “There was great chemistry between the cat and Kalki.”
When director Nambiar saw it, he was initially not happy with a cat around on the sets. But when he saw the affection that Kalki had for the cat, he made a few changes in the script and incorporated that into the film. “Kalki would be seen carrying the cat with her everywhere in the film, even to her college,” the source added.
