Kajol continues to be choosy

Her absence from the film, Bombay Talkies, which celebrated the completion of 100 years of cinema didn’t go unnoticed. Kajol who has been part of cult hits such as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai went missing from all the short stories of the film.

At a recent event, when Kajol was quizzed about the reason for not being a part of Bombay Talkies, she confessed that none of the four stories excited her. “Kajol is extremely selective about her work. Her priorities are her children and her family. The script has to be strong enough for her to shift focus from home to work,” say sources close to the actress.
Kajol, who is known for calling a spade a spade, minced no words while admitting that Bombay Talkies failed to excite her. “She has tremendous respect for Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap and her decision to not act in the film had nothing to do with the directors,” adds the source. In fact, over the last four years, Kajol has heard quite a few scripts but nothing has interested her so far.
