Well, that’s what the plot of Anurag Kashyap’s That Girl in Yellow Boots (TGYB) and Hema Malini’s Tell Me O Khuda (TMOK) are all about. While the directors of the two films have denied any similarity, sources claim that both the films have a very similar plot. Both films revolve around a young girl setting out in the world in search of her father.
When asked about the similarities, Anurag Kashyap said, “My film is about about a white girl who comes to India looking for her father and lives illegally. She is connected to the underworld and does not live in the right atmosphere. It’s about how Indian men look at white single girls.” Hema Malini, however, refuses to give any details. She says, “Yes it’s about a girl who goes in search of a father around the world.”
Our source adds, “The only difference is that while Kashyap’s film will be realistic and have an arty feel, Hema Malini’s film will be sobre and a hardcore commercial.” Both the films are expected to be released in September.
