It’s me-time over moolah

Despite a tumultuous 2011, with a bitter break-up and no box office success, Bipasha Basu feels that the year has been lucky for her as she got a chance to sort out many loose ends in her life. And now she wants a quiet New Years to herself, away from the maddening hustle bustle of Mumbai.
“I work on my own terms and conditions. I’ve been performing every year, but this time I want to take a break,” says the actress who has turned down several offers to perform at New Year functions.
“There was a time when I wanted my basic comforts and secure my future. I slogged hard to get them, but now, no amount of money can buy my ‘me-time’,” says Bipasha, who has taken a two-day break from the promotions of Players to spend New Years. “My work will have to wait for 24 hours. Like I said, the most important part of my life is me.”
