Imran, Sona in Ekta’s next

Ekta Kapoor is known in the industry as one of the most generous producers who is also very loyal towards her actors. After repeatedly casting Emraan Hashmi in her films, Ekta seems to have found new favourites in Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, the lead pair of her upcoming film Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara. According to close sources, the producer has already signed the two for her next project.
“Usually, filmmakers wait for their films to release to check out the public reaction to the film and also to gauge how well it fares commercially. But as always, Ekta has chosen to go with her instincts and gut feel. That’s the reason why she didn’t wait to sign the actors,” says a source close to the producer.
Apparently, it was Sonakshi and Imran’s onscreen chemistry that made her take the decision so early. With OUATIMD ready for release and the auspicious festive mood of Eid setting in, the actors are already celebrating. As of now Ekta’s team is working on the details of their new film and will soon make a formal announcement.
Seems like a double whammy for Bollywood’s newest jodi.
