Imran encroaching upon Ranbir’s territory

Imran Khan is fast catching-up with his rival as touted by the media — Ranbir Kapoor. He has strengthened his relationship with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions after IHLS by signing his second film with them. This film will be directed by Shakun Batra and will have Kareena Kapoor as the female lead. Kareena is one actress that Ranbir can’t work with as a romantic lead, because they are cousins. A clear advantage for Imran.
Imran has made inroads into Yash Raj Films as well. They have signed Imran Khan for their next venture, to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Katrina plays the lead. With one stroke, Imran has signed films with two megabanners and with two major heroines — Kareena and Katrina — the grade of actresses he has never worked with before. Increasingly, choosy Ranbir has no further films with these two banners. Wonder what his next move will be.
