‘I always wanted to be an actor’
He may be a debutante, but Varun Dhawan is confident that his film Student of The Year will surely strike a chord with the masses. Son of director David Dhawan, the youngster says that his mother wasn’t too keen that he join acting. “But I have always wanted to be an actor,” he says.
The young actor is glad that he got to work with Dharma Productions in his debut outing. “Working with Dharma is like working with family. KJo took good care of us. He pampered us and also made sure that we worked sincerely. Working with him was a great learning experience,” Varun says. He continues, “Working behind the camera before making my acting debut also helped my performance to a certain extent. It helped me know more about facing the cameras and proper lights. For me it is like a dream come true.”
But as of now he has his fingers firmly crossed.
