Hema asks Esha to quit acting
Esha Deol, whose career hasn’t gone anywhere in the longest time, may have been excused for believing Tell Me O Khuda would change her fortunes. But the dismal collections of the film have put paid to those optimistic convictions. Mother and TMOK director Hema Malini, though, has run out of patience, and has even asked Esha to follow suit.
Understandably, Esha was dejected with the turn of events, even more so when her parents asked her to settle down. “As of now, she isn’t dating anybody. And though her parents are groom hunting, she isn’t engaged,” says a source. “Esha was banking on TMOK. In the bargain, she even turned down many other film offers.”
All of which mightily displeased Hema. “Hema is so dejected with TMOK’s performance, that she has dropped the idea of remaking Razia Sultan with her daughter. She instead wants to focus on younger daughter Aahana. Hopefully, Aahana will live up to her expectations,” the source adds.
